This is a packet of volcanic lava which has been ground into sand. When lava hits cool water in the ocean, it breaks up into small particles. Over time, the waves grind it smaller still.
It can be crushed even smaller, if you desire. Use it in landscaping, lettering, borders, flower centers.
Each packet contains 1/4 teaspoonful.
