Heshi beads are cut from shells, drilled and polished. Therefore they are slightly more irregular than cast beads.
Think of the possibilities of their use in miniature work. Make flowers, patterns, borders, designs. (I added mustard seeds to the center of each petal on the arrangement pictured. Though not a shell, they can be painted or dyed and work well in miniature arrangements).
