I photographed this on a slight angle, so you could get a better view of it. The entire piece measures about 1" across, from tip to tip.
A perfect bay starfish rests atop a white gar scale. (Gar scales have the consistancy of polished stone.) The starfish is accented with a dyed baby whelk shell and a natural purple sea urchin spine.
