These are pretty double faced polyester satin ribbon made into bows of various sizes. The measurement is from sied to side to the outside edges of the bows. This is the measurement when the bows are flat.
Sometimes in packaging and shipping, the bow gets flattened. Insert the tip of a tooth pick or paint brush into the bow to make it fuller looking again.
The 1/4" and 3/8" bows are made with 1/16" wide ribbon. The 1/2" and 5/8" ones are made with ribbon that is 1/4" wide.
